Where does my botanical passion begin? I come from a long line of field working, farm growing, green house studying, landscape building, and natural living family. I'm proud to say it's in my blood and in my heart. My great grandfather was the first Mexican to place a burro-driven plow in the rich soils of Lompoc Valley and work the Bodgers flower fields with a strong back and driven heart. On the right of me in the photo is a mural painting of my great aunt (on my Muñoz side) hand-pollinating each and every flower with a paintbrush for Burpee Seeds company. Every time I drive into Lompoc it's like coming home and its always reminding me to stick to the roots of my family and never take them for granted.
